On April 2009, The Red Deer RCMP Detachment proudly honored the Diakonos Retreat Society by hosting a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Regimental Ball.

The evening was steeped in tradition that included a formal dinner, entertainment and a silent auction.  Honored guests in attendance had gracious remarks for the Diakonos Retreat Society.

Mr Cal Dallas – Member of the Alberta Legislative Assembly for Red Deer South

His Worship Morris Flewwelling – Mayor of the City of Red Deer
